These Bulgarians play classic, cold but playful black metal. That, basically, means that the atmosphere is properly grim, but the riffs are not. And Dimholt have such a driving energy that, once their debut album starts, it doesn't let go. Just listen and wonder what will happen next. It will always be good, and it will remain cold. Just goes to prove that, if you have ideas and know how to write proper songs, there is no need to push for some perceived originality. Even if it's not even particularly memorable, Liberation Funeral is simply so well done that you will not care. Classy riffs, murderous drums and deadly vocals - what more do you need to die?
