overall this could be amazing but the mix seems a bit off. the guitarist truly has some amazing riff work and great solo work - its not just a wall of noise. there are spaces where you should be able to hear a solid supporting bass line but it has mostly been buried and only surfaces an odd time. the guitar overwhelms the vocal at times too and this is a fair growling vocal for the most part - there is an inclusion of a clean vocal again as well - some of the 'dual' vocal is a good idea but this feels half-hearted - either do it or don't - if you're going to use it then experiment with it more often without limiting it to one section. the drummer is a power-house and is not reliant on blast beats.
its hard to give this a specific genre - i don't hate this and do look forward to what mindscar will do in the future as i hear and feel an improvement in their work. there is talent here, and its finding its focus.
